How Caitlyn fell in love

 

Caitlyn has an extensive background in kickboxing and jiu-jitsu. Growing up, she faced challenges with bullying, which led her to take up kickboxing shortly after starting secondary school. Despite being new to the sport, she was quickly recognized for her talent and was chosen to represent England.

However, with only a few months of training under her belt, Caitlyn decided to focus on refining her skills before competing seriously, choosing to wait until after her GCSEs. Over time, her passion for kickboxing began to wane, though her athletic spirit never faded.

In her late teens she discovered MMA, wrestling, and jiu-jitsu and immediately fell in love with the world of combat sports once again.

 

In the world of Mixed Martial Arts, few athletes embody grit and colour quite like Caitlyn Hadfield. Nicknamed “The Multi-Coloured Beast” a nod to both her vibrant spirit and relentless fighting style, Caitlyn has spent years carving her path in the Atomweight division (47.6 kg), and now she’s preparing for her biggest stage yet:...the IMMAF World Championships in Georgia! 

It is with tremendous pride that Caitlyn recently announced her selection as England’s first pick in her weight class. This is more than just an opportunity, it’s a testament to countless hours of dedication, sacrifice, and discipline that have shaped her into the athlete she is today.

 

 

Caitlyn’s journey has already been decorated with significant achievements.  She's captured two bronze medals on both the European and World MMA stages, and earned the title of 4 Nations Atomweight Champion. Each of these milestones underscores her ability not only to compete but to excel among the best amateur fighters in the world.

For Caitlyn, the IMMAF World Championships are more than a tournament, they are the culmination of years of perseverance and a chance to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world’s elite. And this time, she’s asking her community, supporters, and local businesses to stand beside her.  Her favourite accomplishment so far is winning the Naga belt where she fought ladies in an open weight bracket and won a lovely shiny belt!  Go Caitlyn! 💪
